Over the past two weeks the world has witnessed the absolute insanity and mass hysteria over the killing of a famous lion in Zimbabwe. The hunter, an American, had paid the government of Zimbabwe over 50,000 dollars for the privilege. Unknowingly, he shot (with a arrow) a famous lion. Afterward, he is blamed by an internet majority of Cecil lion lovers for murder. Now his life, the life of his family, and all of his colleges at his office are being threatened. The internet, social media, and the media have single-handedly convicted him. Meanwhile, concurrently, five videos surfaced showing Planned Parenthood selling fetal baby organs and entire bodies for profit. Only a few people speak up. There is no outrage from the internet. Social Media censors it. The media ignores it. I personally do not care if you are a Democrat or a Republican, can you explain this? Is this political or just stupidity? The real question is "do you really even care?" Do you care more about a dead cat? Let's take this premise one step further. Do you or do you not care about the hundreds of thousands of dead human beings being slaughtered in Syria and Iraq by ISIS? How about the hundreds of dead human beings of the coast of Libya this morning? Or, are you still more concerned about your dead kitty cat? The only explanation I have can be drawn from psychology. It is called transference. Since the entire world population has been conditioned to feel nothing for the death of human beings it is now O.K. to feel about dead kitty cats. It is a weird, weird world...just weird. Are you weird? Do you want to live in a weird world or a world of reason? Can you really THINK for yourself or does it even really matter anymore? That's the way I see it, today, August 5th, 2015.
