Sad, but true. This coming November marks the end of the two party system in the United States. While the Democrats run the media and social networks, the Republicans have all but quit their own system. Just take the two big wigs, Bush and Romney. Both of these family dynasties have come out publicly against Trump and by default, against the Republican establishment. Shame on them! While I do not always, almost always, agree with the Democrats value system, I have to give them credit for sticking together. November 2016 will mark a big change in America. The end of the electoral system as we know it. Barring the fact that Hillary might disqualify herself completely due to corruption, she has all but won the election. Trump didn't help. Egomania does has its limits. Both candidates, in my opinion, are not fit to run the country. Irrelevant. The country is now controlled by two overwhelming forces. The first is just stupidity. Never, ever, underestimate the power of stupidity. The second is mega-corporations. Facebook, Microsoft, UPS, Walmart, Ebay, Google, Boeing, Hewlett-Packard, just to name a few, really control the economy and D.C. politics. Elections are just now manipulated processes designed to control the population. And guess what? ...it works. Never before in history has a nation been so controlled by outside powers as it is now, with maybe one exception...NAZI Germany. While the rise of power is not parallel the outcome is the same. A corporate oligarch with fascist tendencies to support those in power or those with nation state financial resources. The mere fact that over 60 percent of the Clinton Foundation resources (read money) have been contributed by foreign governments while Hillary was Secretary of State exemplifies just how far we have come. Corruption at its finest. The very fact that no legal action has ever been taken simply verifies my point. So, the United States now has a single party system, so does China, so does Russia. Hmmm. That's the way I see it, today, August 24th, 2016.
I must admit, the latest rendition of the Bourne adventures is more than captivating. True to his form, Matt Damon delivers again with an exciting, globe trotting, car chasing, bang-bang shoot-em up that will rival anything in this genre. With a current twist, including cyber warfare, Mr. Snowden, and of course, a government conspiracy (the CIA has bad guys working for them again) Jason Bourne goes after his personal nemesis...himself. Still trying to figure out who he is and where he came from Mr. Bourne is sucked back into the government conspiracy. It appears that once again the government has a problem with vetting their employees. Who could of guessed that? Yeah, I like it. Seems like an all too familiar scene, but it still works well. The screen play is well thought out and the editing keeps you riveted to your seat while you travel from one part of the world to another. The movie does pose the age old question of whether you can trust your Federal Government. Hey, with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton running for President, can you blame them? What say you? After nearly half a million dead people in Syria over the last five years I am glad to see Hollywood starting to question our government's decisions. But I digress...or do I. It is fun to go and watch a movie like this, however, we should all stay mindful that there still are very bad things happening out there and we should try and make out world a better place for all of us to live in. That's the way I see it, today, August 21st, 2016.
Opps! I am pretty sure that President Obama was not ready for someone to post a video of a 400 million dollar cash payment being made in the middle of the night on the tarmac at Tehran International Airport. I am also pretty sure that it is really hard for him to deny that it is not a ransom payment for four Americans. That works out to 100 million per person. All four of these people were put into U.S. custody within hours of the cash transaction. In the past, United States policy was NO dealing with terrorist or terrorist nations. The policy also included, NO ransom payments, ...period. Well, there you have it. Obama's personal policy has been to act first, then, plead either not guilty or beg for forgiveness. This has served him well, in fact, very well. With the corporate news media all in for him it is a very relatively easy thing to do...to do what ever you want. The public's predilection to completely forget and/or forgive whatever Mr. Obama does set a dangerous precedent. It has helped forge the path to give the Executive Branch of the U.S. government complete deniability on just about anything it does. It has also encourage this branch of government to do whatever it wants to do, with or without, the express consent of the "people." Let's just take the War Power's Act. Does anyone in the United States even acknowledge that we have been bombing Libya over the past two weeks? Usually, when one nation bombs another it is called an Act of War. So, are we now at war with Libya? If not, are we at war with ISIS? If we are at war with ISIS, then WHY don't we declare it? I am still confused. Does the United States now wantonly just run around the planet bombing people on the request of said governments? I guess so, because that is exactly what we are doing. This is NOT just the pursuit of the Executive Branch of government, Congress, evidently, is all in as well. It is Congress's failure to protest that has given the Executive Branch of government so much power. Let's play this out. Trump becomes President. Trump acts just like Obama, in his own self interest. Pretty scary, now isn't it? How about this. Clinton become President...now, that's really scary. That's the way I see it, today, August 7th, 2016.
