The United Nations is no more, it is now the Divided Nations. And perhaps, it has always been. As Benjamin Netanyahu stated last week, the U.N. has morphed itself from a stance of a moral force to one of that of a moral farce. It is simple. The United Nations has lost it moral compass. If it was not true, then there would be peace in Syria. It is now over five years since the outbreak of conflict in Syria. Today, the estimate is over half-a-million dead. Is that an acceptable number? How about just a million? Or, say, just two million. When will enough be enough? The world vis-a-vie through the lens of the U.N. is suppose to believe that all the rhetoric of negotiations is suppose to bring an end to this prolonged conflict. Even with a peace accord in place, as of last weekend, the entire aid convoy was bombed to smithereens outside of Aleppo. Not a good day. Of course, the people at the U.N. were not happy. And, of course, more people are dead. The power players, Russia, the U.S., the E.U., and China obviously do not really want an end to this conflict. If they did, this crazy war would of been ended long ago. So the question is this, "How does perpetuating this war serve its purpose?" For Russia, keeping Assad in power helps them maintain their Mediterranean base north of Lebanon. For China, keeping the U.S. forces deployed in conflict means less forces deployed against them. The European Union, well, this one has me a little dumbfounded. The E.U. has shown that it really has no policy, outside of murdering Ghaddfi, the stated goal seems unclear. Now, of course, there is a total right wing backlash against migrants in the political spectrum. As for the United States, it appears that the policy of isolation is not working. Leaving a vacuum of power in both Afghanistan and Iraq has led to the creation of ISIS and a new form of terror, world wide Jihadist attacks. It is difficult to understate why the world wants this conflict to continue. One fact is paramount, the war continues, the Divided Nations at the U.N. continue to "negotiate" and people by the thousands continue to die. That's the way I see it, today, September 27th, 2016
Well now, after last nights so called "debate" I must admit, my prediction of the two ring Circus appears to be true. At last, the two party system finally shows off its true colors. Two seventy year old fuddy-duddies fencing with great skill to try an embarrass the other. By the way, did you happen to notice that neither party gave us any real solution to ANYTHING! While Hillary claims to have experience, my interpretation is she has only experience defined by failure. As for Trump, I really feel he could of looked much more Presidential. Again, no policy issues were stated. My wife and I felt that if the two of them had been kinder-gardeners, it would of been a more lively debate. Hillary's problem is she is just a damn lier. Trump, well, unpolished, under-studied, and too rich is just the starter. As I have said before, Trump and Hillary are not the issue. The problem now is the complete and utter failure of the two party system. Both parties now act as one, neither really take a stand on anything, and the underlying current of corporate cronyism almost stinks to high heaven. Hillary has proven that she is un-trustworthy. Trump has yet to prove himself at all. I wish Thomas Jefferson had given us a fall-back position, something we could conjure up just in case we have two nim-com-poops running for President, as we have now. Oh well, for now, as Bill Clinton loves to state, "it all depends on whatever IS IS..." I never did really understand that statement. Well folks, only two more months of this non-sense, only two more insufferable debates, only countless hours left of pundits talking, only dis-information from the press to sort through. If we can all retain our sanity for the next sixty days, it will prove that once again the election process of the United States is a referendum of democracy at its finest. That's the way I see it, today, September 27th, 2016.
Over the past two weekends here in the United States we have seen multiple attacks on the homeland. From bombings in New York City and New Jersey, murders in the malls in Minnesota and Washington State, Jihadists attack at will against the citizens of the America. Almost each and every time, the government, both State and Federal, try to frame all of these crimes as people with mental disorders. Well, if that is so, then, by simple deduction, all Muslims are criminal. Why, you ask? Well, each and every individual was a Muslim who committed these heinous crimes. Or rather, to put is another way, as the government says, "these Muslims who committed these crimes really weren't Muslims, because a good Muslim would never do that..." Huh? Come on now, you can't have it both ways. You can not be "politically correct" and tell the truth. So, as a government, either Local, State, or Federal, you are forced to lie. And, that is the problem. The truth is that Muslims are committing crimes, killing and maiming U.S. citizens, all in the name of Mohammed or Allah, whatever. If you read Mohammed's doctrine, the Koran, these killers are doing just what Mohammed wants them to do. Now, if I am wrong, then WHERE are the Muslim leaders denouncing these crimes? ...no where to be found. Why? Because the Muslim leaders believe in Mohammed's doctrine of destruction. If my interpretation is mis-guided or wrong, please reply. Facts are facts. Once again, I call on the leaders of the Islamic faith to renounce terrorism, renounce hatred of the so-called infidels, renounce teaching their children hatred of all things non-Muslim. The only thing that can save the Islamic world is a reformation. A reformation of a belief system that is currently not compatible with most of the world. With a reformation, Islam CAN have the opportunity to flourish in PEACE, an opportunity to avoid wars, an opportunity to move forward with humanity without conflict. Without an Islamic Reformation the future is very bleak, especially for the Muslims. I pray for this reformation...For now, I pray for all the injured and murdered victims who have suffered over the past two weekends. I also pray for America to wake up and start defending herself. That's the way I see it, today, September 27th, 2016.
Tomorrow marks the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11. Over 6000 people were injured, while 2996 people died. It was a day of reckoning. Four aircraft were lost, the World Trade Center was taken down, the Pentagon was hit, and a few brave souls on a plane overtook hijackers. This tragedy changed America for ever. Many more Americans have died since then, both on and off the field of battle. Today, many first responders from the 9/11 clean-up site are still suffering, many with cancer. 9/11 marked a fundamental change in the American psyche. To this day, military leaders, survivors of terrorism, in fact, entire societies cringe at the word "Islam." The followers of "Islam" attacked the United States and it has been all out war ever since. Now, after fifteen years, the American judicial system, has cleared a legal pathway for citizens to sue Saudi Arabia in court over the 9/11 attacks. Everyone knows that fifteen of the nineteen hijackers were Saudi citizens, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Egypt, and one from Lebanon. Prior to 9/11 , on September 6th and 7th, stock "short" orders were made in volume against United and American Airlines. Most of these profits have been returned to the United States, but, secrecy still hides behind who was involved. Of course, Saudi Arabia is implicated, hence this weekend's decision by a U.S. justice system. Saudi Arabia has always played both sides against the middle. 9/11 was their creation, it is, also, their responsibility. It is highly unlikely, and speculative at best, that no one in Saudi Arabia knew about the upcoming 9/11 attacks, especially, after shorting two major American companies. The fact that the United States government made all the funds returned speaks for itself. Saudi Arabia has continued to threaten American financial interests over policy issues, post 9/11. Their enormous holdings of American interests being their leverage. Let's be clear, Wahhabi-ism, a Saudi religious doctrine of terror has been at the forefront of Al-Qaeda and ISIS philosophy. As the Haj begins this month, I hope that the followers of Islam consider "reforming" their agenda, start "placating" the West, apologize for being mislead, and propose a peaceful co-existence for the future followed by action. A good place to start this process is Mecca. Mecca is the center of Islam. Reform has to start there. If not, one can only assume that Syria is only the beginning. Remember, there is a new "generation" of Americans forming, a generation not dependent on Arab oil and probably less likely to deal with the power brokers, both in and outside the government. That's how I see it, today, September 10th, 2016. May the memories of the fallen NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
There is a battle at hand. It is an old one. One that has been fought many times over millennia. Both sides have won, both have lost. It comes in many forms, but suffice it to say, it appears to be a part of us all. This battle seems simple, and maybe that is part of the problem. Good versus Evil. Or, from a different perspective, us versus them. It always appears to have two sides, one against the other. Each side, of course, claiming to hold the truth. Whether the battle is fought with armies, through politics, economic philosophies, dictatorships, or religious doctrines, the outcome is always the same. There is always just one winner, just one loser. There is a quote from the past that says history is written by the victors, and so it is. Today, in America, there is political battle raging. It is not a pretty one. It is simply between the so-called Democrats and Republicans. True to form, as the country and its people enter into the final lap leading up to the "election" both sides are trying to define the other as well as themselves. Both sides have a "strategy." Both sides are armed with rhetoric, money, and international support. Whether you want to admit it or not, the entire world is affected by the outcome of the United States Presidential elections. Wars will be fought and won, people will continue to die, while the power brokers "that be" vie for the greatest game on the planet. Russia hacking our internet, China controlling our economic system, Islam trying to rise out of the ashes of the Middle East, mass immigrant and illegal aliens escaping the horror of their countries, just to name a few, all positioning for influence to control the greatest nation on earth. Just when you think you have see it all, another catastrophe befalls us. Next weekend marks the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11. Will there be another Bhengahzi, another mass shooting, another suicide bomber? Who knows. One thing is for sure, as the Brexit vote in England clearly showed, a democratic nation can VOTE for change if they so desire. That's the way I see it, today, September 4th, 2016.
