I am not a believer in "social darwinian" theory. I am not a "total capitalist," either. "Socialism" and "communism" have also proven to be great failures. What I do believe, is this. A "hybrid" of something that allows our society to grow and evolve without the absolute punishing effects of destroying the individual, either through poverty or disenfranchisement. We have seen social/communistic ideals destroy and literally kill millions upon millions of people. I.E.-Stalin and Mao-tse-tung. We have also witnessed the effects of unbridled capitalism which led to corrupt unions and a revival of medieval haves and have-nots. This "rise of China" is an example of trying to blend social theories and capitalistic profits. The final "outcome" is not determined. We have also witnessed, post World War II, capitalistic societies in Europe and the United Stated trying to adopt more "socially acceptable," less aggressive, economic policies. In essence, China moving toward capitalism, the West moving toward social communism. So, what's in the middle? What do we call it? Is it another "ism?" I liked the Star Trek model. No money at all. Everyone has a job. Then again, I couldn't help but notice that the starship they flew was armed to the teeth with weapons and was always "fighting" somebody. Yep, we have a long way to go. I like my communistic Iphone, my American freedoms, my Mesopotamian ancient religion, and my predilection to espouse my ideas on the internet. Our world now is super-interdependent, interconnected, and we are experiencing "hunger pains." Hunger for survival, hunger for ideas, hunger for relationships, and hunger for sustainability. It is quite a ride. That's how I see it, Oct. 25th, 2014.
Islam. Muslim. Jihadist. Terrorist. Murderer. Killer. Guess what, after this week these terms are now synonymous. Since 9/11, America has been trying to define the enemy. What terms to use, what to say, what is politically correct, who will be offended, etc. Enough. It is over. This past week Oct. 20-Oct. 24 we have witnessed the following: A Jihadist running over two Canadian soldiers killing one. An American baby killed with a car in Jerusalem. A Jihadist murdering at point blank range a Canadian soldier guarding the WWI monument in Ottawa. The same Jihadist then rampaging through the Canadian Parliament Building. Two NYC police officers attacked by a hatchet wielding Islamic Terrorist. The press has already ignored the woman who lost her head in Oklahoma, the Army recruiter who was shot, and the killings by Ali Mohammed Brown, all were Muslim Islamic Jihadist Terrorists. All these acts were committed here in America. Slowly, but surely, America is awakening. We are not there yet, but we are getting close. Before the end of the year, maybe sooner, you might watch the paradigm shift. It might shift faster than you think. Only a few people in the Islamic community really get it. They fully know well that if America decides to defend itself there will be no stopping us. Just as we did in World War Two, we will pull all the plugs of morality and go for the jugular. America proved, and proved very well indeed, that it could take on Japanese and Germans and bring them to their knees. The same will happen with Radical Muslim Islamic Jihadist Terrorists. Make no mistake about it. If we decide to come and shut you down, there will be no place to hide. As Vice President Joe Biden stated last week, "We will follow you to the gates of hell!" And to remind you of two more famous quotes, "Bring it on!" and "Let's roll!" That's the way I see it today, Oct. 24th, 2014.
I woke up this morning wondering what is going on. A good portion of my friends in aviation are out of work. Most of my neighbors back in Las Vegas all lost their homes just as I did. I think that nearly 80% of them either were forced to short-sell or file bankruptcy. The news tells us that everything is O.K. and that the economy is recovering. Europe, once again is on the brink of default and the unemployment numbers there resemble pre-World War Two. The politicians, business people, and universities all espouse the philosophical epithet that we can all be millionaires and that it is our own damn fault for failing. Millions upon millions of young people are in debt to the government for college loans and remain unemployed living at home with mom and dad. Wars and discontent are raging in places across the globe we thought were safe zones. Failed states are popping up unannounced and unafraid. Hong Kong is on fire. Syria is burning. Greece has been hammered. Iran wants to nuke you. China wants to own Walmart and Sam's. Currently, at least in the United States, the economic differences between the rich and the poor is on an exponential scale resembling the oligarchs of the 18th and 19th centuries. The media, aka boob tube management, is enabling the powers that be, at least for the present, to control the masses. However, even if you only have a fifth grade education you can deduce that they are losing control. As this chaos accelerates it may be your only refuge to take solace in defense industries. Boeing, Airbus, Raytheon, Northrop, etc are falling to the new buzzwords of the day...Homeland Security, Cyber Space, Encryption, and the Internet. Are you ready for the change? Are you ready to go overseas or fight a war at home? Is there another 9/11 around the corner? The "global" world is now so super interdependent upon itself it may, in all likely hood, be unsustainable. Maybe it is time to re-read Plato and Aristotle. After all, it was Greek Democracy that helped to initiate this civilization in the first place. That's how I see it today, October 18th, 2014.
Media madness at its best. While I agree with the fact that EBOLA is a dangerous disease, the irresponsibility of the media is more dangerous. If this trend continues the media will be directly responsible for crashing the stock market, hurting the transportation industry, and creating an unwarranted sense of fear. Fear is a bad thing. Emotion and stupidity are driving this crisis, not a disease. It never ceases to amaze me how the media latches onto something, anything, and then turns a molehill into a mountain. One way to address the problem could be the court system. Let's have Frontier sue MSNBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and FOX for say...one billion dollars. I think that would get somebody's attention. Or better yet, anybody who works for a "news media organization" is put onto a NO FLY LIST. Problem solved. Granted, the government, aka CDC, has made some mistakes, but so has the general health care system. The good news is this. We now know that the United States is totally unprepared for a "health crisis" of this nature. The chaos you are presently witnessing is actually the "correction" that is needed to "fix the problem." And that, my little grasshopper, is a good thing. That's how I see it today, October 18th, 2014.
Please do not confuse this with "goof ball" diplomacy. It is up to the reader to determine which is which. All I can say is this, Mr. Obama has managed to play more games of golf than Tiger Woods! How can that be? Tiger gets paid to play, well, I guess that Mr. Obama gets paid also...out of the taxpayer's pocket! So, let me ask you a simple question. Please do not get offended. If Mr. Obama missed over 62% of his NSA/CIA daily briefings, golfs more than Tiger Woods, and then spends the rest of his time left over "fund raising," when is he working? Second question: Is there a correlation between his failed "Presidency" and not working? Third Question: Would the actions of China, Russia, ISIS, Iran etc. have anything to do with the fact that Mr. Obama not only appears but IS totally disengaged from reality? Fourth and final question: Why is the American public so stupid to let this shit go on? Well, little grasshopper, if you can answer these basic questions then you deserve to be appointed to the Joints Chiefs of Staff! No kidding! The United States is like a vessel without a captain. The captain is on a long, long coffee break...trying to figure out why his golf game, after all these years, still sucks! Here is my simple, humble opinion. You can either play golf or run the country. You can not do both. That's how I see it today, October 13th, 2014.
I took a week off from the news and the boob tube. Road trip. On my return, I switched on the cable network and am now considering a permanent divorce with the electronic media. OMG, as my younger friends would say. I find out that the Ebola virus has killed someone in Dallas, that the IRS really did interfere with the 2012 Presidential election, that ISIS now beheads someone daily on youtube, that ten terrorists were arrested in Texas crossing the border from Mexico, that Baghdad will probably fall, that a woman who was beheaded in Oklahoma was a victim of workplace violence (Alah Akbar), that the U.S. and China are sitting on an economic time-bomb, that the United States is bombing two countries but can not use the word "war," that more Americans are now uninsured with the enactment of Obamacare, that Hillary Clinton wants to be President...again, that Barack Obama's dad was not a Kenyan, that it costs half a million dollars to destroy a thirty thousand dollar ISIS pickup truck, that Turkey is killing Kurds inside Turkey, that our infrastructure is disintegrating, that the Unabomber was a Harvard graduate, that Eric Holder quit, that North Korea can't find Kim Jong Un-their leader, and that Starbuck in now a chick! What the Frak? I am glad I didn't miss anything important. That's how I see it, today, October 11th, 2014.
This is Brendan Tevlin, he was murdered in New Jersey this summer by Mohammed Brown, a Muslim Islamic Terrorist. Mr. Brown has already been linked to killing three others in Washington. This murder preceded another murder in which a Muslim Islamic Terrorist beheaded a woman at work in Oklahoma. For those Americans who feel that the Islamic threat is just overseas, forget it. It is now next door. It is here in America and people are dying. They are dying now. The media has chosen, rightly or wrongly, to ignore the domestic threat. Just like the Fort Hood massacre, it is being labeled "workplace" violence. B.S. Workplace violence is a term used by liberals to ignore reality. The reality is this. After 9/11 the world changed. The world changed because of Muslim Islamic Terrorists. Thirteen years later the world changed again. On your smartphone you can now watch on youtube people getting beheaded. Great. The "public" in America, the United States, is no longer safe. Period. If you can not protect yourself, too bad. Everybody is pretending that everything is O.K. and that it will all go away. As a student of history, I can safely predict the following: An exponential curve of terrorist acts will occur in the Western world and probably for the next 10 to 20 years, possibly more, an ongoing battle fighting Islamic terrorists will occur. Right now, at this moment, the U.S. is bombing ISIS in Syria in some Turkish border town called Kobani. From a strategic point of view, so far, ISIS is winning. We can only pray, hope, and wait for a consolidated effort of countries to decide to fight this satanic ideology. So far, only a pitiful effort has been put forth. I guess, until your son is murdered, you don't really care. Just like Hitler, ISIS has been given time, weapons, and money to build their armies and now they are a formidable foe. Unfortunately, that is the way I see it, today, October 9th, 2014.
