Israel dates back to about 1000 years, B.C.E. In other words, this country, this people, this religion has been around for a while. Some scholars date this to an even earlier time period. As we all know, Judaism is the faith, and it is this same religion which is also the foundation of Christianity and Islam. The fact that Jesus was a Jew and that Mohammed grew up in a Jewish city, Medina, still is ignored in many circles today. The Christian-Judeo tradition, post Medieval Europe, is credited with influencing the Founding Father's of the United States. In 1948, the State of Israel was declared and approved by the United Nations. The country, and its people, Israelis, have been around ever since. Today, as the only pluralistic Democratic republic in the Middle East, Israel stands among nations as a properous, tolerant, and sucessful nation. As a country which dates back to Moses and the Ten Commandments, Israel has an obligation to live up to its moral creed. And so it does. The fact that it has one of the strongest military systems in the world is due only to circumstance. Had the Arabs not attacked the state from the onset and then fought many subsequent wars, it is doubtful that Israel would be what it is today. But, that is not what happened. The Arabs, post World War Two Europe, Anti-semitism, to name a few, and current terror policies against Israel continue to determine the future of this tiny county. The in-explicable obsession the world has with what Israel does on a daily basis continues to baffel this writer. While the failed policies of the Obama administration disappear into history, it should be noted, last week the United States failed to support Israel at the United Nations. Even staunch Obama Democrats are crying fowl. It has always been a given that Obama was anti-Israel, but the Democrats believed he would never act politically, until he did. Now, of course, at the last minute of his presidency, the Democrats are trying to distance themselves and their party and from this man. Too late, the damage is done. For myself, I am an un-apologetic Zionist. There are many reasons for this. The biggest one has to do with morality. I feel, Israel, Judaism, and its people have a sacred duty to lead the world by example. It is a duty that was given to them. It is a duty they are obligated to follow. The Pharoahs of Egypt, the Babylonians, the Persians, the Roman Empire, the Ottoman Empire, the Nazis, the Soviet Union, just to name a few, are all relics of history. The Jews, their religion, and now the State of Israel are here to stay. And based on thousands of years of history, yes, they are not going anywhere. In my earlier writings I called for Saudi Arabia to publicly declare PEACE with Israel and build an embassy in Jerusalem. I still feel that way today. Think about that. If every Arab and Muslim country in the world declared PEACE with Israel what a momentous occasion that would be! A day of days. So what say you, SAUDI ARABIA? Want to change the world? Here is your chance! Build a bright and better future for your people and the rest of the world! Change the course of history. That's the way I see it, today, tomorrow, and for the next year! Happy New Year! Wishing everyone a joyous and successful 2017!
In the last twenty-five days of his Presidency, President Obama breaks with a fifty year tradition of supporting Israel. True to his word, Mr. Obama has unequivocally shown the entire world what a racist and anti-semite truely is. His naivete is beyond description. His policies have led to the killing of more than 500,000 Syrians, the creation of ISIS, a U.S. debt that has doubled to over 20 trillion dollars, 50 million Americans put on food stamps, 90 million U.S. citizens still out of work, a nuclear Iran and North Korea, a national policy of Cop killing, heightened racism, a broken medical system that nobody can afford, a weakened U.S. miltary, ruined relations with both China and Russia, and, of course, today, his final stab at Israel. From his golf cart in Hawaii he instructed Susan Rice to abstain from voting today at the United Nations. A cowardly position at best. Ms. Rice, yes, is out of a job on January 20th, 2017, along with her boss. But the damage is done. Keep in mind, there was a "reason" why Mr. Obama went to Hawaii for today's vote. For the Jewish people around the world and in Israel, this is Mr. Obama's Hannukah gift. A gift that will never be forgotten. I have watched from afar, with disdain, the career of Mr. Obama. I have always felt that his ideology was more than misplaced, it was wrong and just plain stupid. From the very beginning, after his famous Cairo speech, where Mr. Obama laid the groundwork for the Muslim Brotherhood to overthrow Egypt and start the Arab Spring, I knew the world was in for trouble. And trouble came. Not just to the Middle East, just take a look at Europe...terror abounds. The national security of Europe today is in jeopardy due to the policies of Mr. Obama. And, as well you know, whether you live in Belgium, France, Italy, or Germany, many Europeans citizens are now dead because of Mr. Obama's actions. The latest, of course, is the Christmas attack on Berlin. Mr. Obama's career in D.C. is not about politics. His motives are more than clear. He has maintained a steady course to undermine the United States of America at every turn. In truth, the real threat to "national security" is Mr. Obama himself. Up until the last eight years, everyone was convinced that Jimmy Carter was the worst President the U.S. had ever seen. Today, Mr. Obama more than eclipsed this legacy. It is said that history is written by the victors. If that is so, then Mr. Obama's legacy will fall by the wayside, just another blimp on the radar, a legacy of half-truths, lying, mis-guided judgement, and, an example of another failed liberal-progressive. In true form, Mr. Obama embodies a self-serving, narcissistic, meglomania personality. Within the first ninety days on the next administration, almost all of Mr. Obama's executive orders will most likely be recinded, as well they should. Better late than never... That's the way I see it, today, December 23th, 2017.
It may be too late. It has been over a month now since Hillary Clinton lost the Presidential Election to Donald Trump. So far, the losing side has yet to admit defeat. Numerous efforts, including a recount which gave Trump more votes, has failed. Be that as it may, unlike the Republican defeats against Obama, the liberals have decided to launch an unprecedented attack on the President-elect. They are coming in from all angles. Corruption, the Russians, voter fraud, hacking, the CIA, the FBI, and the list grows daily. So far, no one even mentions that the Democratic Party should of put forth a different candidate. The Clinton Machine steamrolled over its own party and when it tried to do the same thing to the American public at large, the voters fought back. However, the victory is only half-won. The real problem does not lie with the political left, but rather with the "system" they supposedly own, the media. Specifically, the Television News Media System. CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, FOX, MSNBC and the others believe, and rightly so, that they can and will determine what and exactly how the American public will think. This total monopoly on information gave the Democratic/Clinton party unbelievable confidence that they would win the Presidential election of 2016. While Hillary won the popular vote she lost the electoral college. In other words, the States, which are represented by the electoral college, determined the next President. This process, as layed out in the constitution, is one of the safe guards of a republic, not a democracy. All that being said, however, does not change the fact that the so called "news media" tries and usually succeeds in setting the mindset of America. Lies upon lies, competition to tell the "best story," choriographed, mindless teleprompter readers, swaying the masses every morning and evening with the "news." 24/7 cable networks spewing utter non-sense all day long in order to sell you more pharmaceuticals and cornflakes. All day long, all night long, whenever and wherever you want it. On your T.V., Ipad, or smartphone for your listening pleasure. It is an evil unlike anything seen in history. I personally, a news junkie, have considered this phenomenon a threat. Today, I now have determined that it is...just that, a threat. I would like to believe that there is "free speech" in America, but after this last election, I know, you know, we all know, now, that is not the case. The billion dollar News Media System, for the most part, controls the direction of the American public. The only saving grace at the moment is the internet. But, alas, I fear that this may be coming to a close in the near future. There is talk in the government circles of controlling the net. Yes, Big Brother is watching. That's the way I see it, today, December 14th, 2016.
Aleppo, an ancient city going back to possibly the 6th millennium B.C. Today, most of the city is in ruins. Aleppo, has become a symbol of many things. Failed dipolmacy, international aggression, the result of dictatorship, Islamic terrorism, massive migration, U.N. failure, just to name a few. Today, on the heals of the recent U.S. presidential election, Russia, Damascus, and Iran are pulling out all the stops prior to President-elect Donald Trump's inaguration in January. After that, all parties realize that the game may be up. The recent announcement of General "Mad dog" Mattis as Secretary of Defense in the new administration more than symbolizes a change in the status quo. It is quite realistic to expect Russia to withdraw from Syria next year. It is also quite realistic to expect Assad to remain in power. Iran also knows full well the ramifications of the new administration. In all likelyhood, you can expect them also to back off, but, they will continue their covert operations. Will Syria return to a properous Middle East and unified country? Not likely. Huge sections of this country will be divided up by the Kurds, Iraq, and possibly Turkey. Russia will continue to exert its influence but managing chaos is always challenging and very unpredictable. It is estimated that over half-a-million people have died in this prolonged civil war. While Aleppo is not the center piece, it is certainly represents a major victory for the Assad team. The past and current atrocities may never be fully known. One thing is certain, Europe is literally reeling from this conflict and the mass migration of Muslim refugees is changing the political, social, and economic foundations of the continent. The recent vote in the United Kingdom approving "Brexit" only marks the beginning. The pendulum has swung, the game is changing. Assad, Russia, Turkey, the rebels, ISIS, Saudi Arabia, and Iran are all now manuvering for the next round. Meanwhile, the people of Aleppo continue to suffer. That's the way I see it, today, December 12th, 2016.
