What a difference 72 hours make. Please accept my apologies for my previous blog. President Obama concluded an executive action which traded the top 5 Taliban generals at Gitmo for Sgt. Bergdahl. Evidently, Bergdahl left his post without permission. He might of deserted. He might of collaborated by selling technical IED knowledge to the enemy. He conducted a premeditated move to go AWOL by sending all his personal artifacts back to the States. All of his buddies in the military whose 5 year non-disclosures had expired have gone public against this guy. 6 U.S. soldiers died trying to find him. The Taliban is publicly celebrating a great victory against the United States of Infidels. All U.S. citizens, soldiers, and students overseas are now in jeopardy because of this trade. The Taliban generals are now staying in 7 star hotels in Qatar. On top of all this, Obama broke U.S. law by skirting by congress without permission for the deal. Some critics believe Obama intentionally set the terrorists free to undermine U.S. policy. Bergdahl's father is sporting a Taliban beard and now speaks Pashto and Arabic. Hey, even Karzai, the current president of Afghanistan, is pissed. Oh, and just for the record. "The U.S. does not negotiate with terrorists!" Good luck trying to figure this one out. That's how I see it today, June 4th, 2014.
