I remember a few years back when NATO and the U.S. decided to go bomb Libya. The consensus then was that all Jihadists were the good guys. After short order, and a few bombs, Gaddafi was caught and executed with his own weapon. A gold plated Colt 45. The powers that be had hope for a new Democratic Libya. Today, the Libyan government is in exile and numerous militias now hold the city of Tripoli. Chaos and death. No government, no one in charge, except for the "rule of the gun." Good job! Whether you liked Gaddafi or not, he was better than another "failed state." My main complaint back then was Syria. Why go after Gaddafi when Syria was the real problem? The answer? It was easy. Besides, Gaddafi for decades had made the West looked impotent, especially when he would bring his "tent" to a United Nations summit in New York. So, they killed him. Now Libya has the potential to mimic Syria as a bastion of Terrorism right at the front door of Europe! Oh, did I mention that all of the weapons owned by the Libyan regime are in the hands of the terrorists? Surface to air missiles, hand held Stingers and the Russian equivalent, and every possible small arms weapons you can imagine, thousands and thousands of them. So, once again, the lack of Foreign Policy substituted by a Reactionary Policy has proved to create another Jihadist State. Not bad. Evidently, it has gotten the attention of someone. Egypt and the U.A.E. multilaterally attacked Tripoli last week without permission from the "powers that be." Oh, and don't forget the POOL PARTY that was broadcasted on YouTube a few days ago. Evidently, the U.S. Embassy in Tripoli still has some value. That's how I see it, today, September 2nd, 2014.
